Archiform 3D Terms and Conditions: Website files and
design
Archiform creates compelling websites for real estate and property
developers.
HTML files
You have complete access to all HTML files that make up the website.
We will upload them to your server and you can then download them
yourself. We can also provide them to you on a CD or DVD for archiving.
Flash Website files
Archiform 3D uses Flash extensively, which is a specialized authoring
environment. To get the most out of Flash we create special code
that improves the look and behavior of the presentation.
We will provide you with the final "SWF" files for the
presentation but we do not release the "FLA" source files.
This is because they may contain our own or licensed technology
that we are not prepared or not able to give to you. Some people
have a hard time understanding this, so we have a basic analogy:
Suppose you want to buy a soft serve ice cream. You go to the
store and order one soft serve ice cream in a cone for $1.
You now own the ice cream and the cone - you can eat it, throw
it away, anything you like.
This is a simple transaction, but suppose you
now wanted to complicate it a bit. Lets say you have decided
that your transaction should also include the recipe and the machine
that made soft serve machine. Naturally the ice cream store will
not help you out as the recipe could be their own trade secret
and the machine cost them thousands.
When we create the Flash presentation we are using our "soft serve
machine" and our "recipe", which is embedded in the "FLA" file.
We give you the "soft serve cone" which is the "SWF" file and is
all you need to run the website.
Credits
We require that acknowledgment of authorship be attached to the
site with a link back to our main site. This needs to only be discreet.
Temporary web serving
We will serve your website temporarily for design and development
purposes but beyond this you will need the site moved to a dedicated
web server. We will not allow the site to go live and be served
from our internal testing server as we don't have enough dedicated
bandwidth assigned to it.
Content & Liability
We will put your initial content into the website but you are
responsible for it's accuracy and any legal implications. It is
not our business to know everything about your inner workings,
obligations or responsibilities.
SEO
Archiform 3D can carry out and charge for certain SEO (Search
Engine Optimization) services. We do not guarantee placement on
search engines or rankings. We do not control the search engines,
we can only cater to them, enabling them to correctly classify
your site and rank it based on content.
It is also important that our clients understand that we do not
engage in what may be considered as "shady" techniques. All our
sites contain real content, link to other relevant sites and are
designed with integrity. This is what search engines ultimately
prefer and are striving for. It is possible to fool search engines
for a limited time to get a high ranking, but once discovered these
sites are heavily penalized. If you want a quick junk fix then
please use another company for your SEO. If you want a solid SEO
solution then we would be glad to help you.
