Architectural scale models have always been an eye catcher in sales suites, with potential buyers spending time examining them and revisiting sales suites just to see them again. Many of us recall the painstaking effort in building scale models as a child (or as an adult for some) and marvel at the precision that architectural model makers must posses to create such masterpieces. They bring out the child in us as we peer through tiny model windows and choose which apartment we would like to live in.

Archiform 3D concentrates on the digital media and 3D architectural rendering side of the industry and doesn't build physical architectural scale models. We don't believe a company can truly be best in both these fields due to their entirely different production workflow and skills needed to produce the work, and trying to do both is simply compromising on one or the other - "Jack of all trades, Master of none". Keep in mind that the architectural model makers listed here construct their models locally and are able to support you with repairs and alterations personally.

We are glad to work with architectural model makers and provide details of companies that have been recommended to us and have worked on the same projects. We do not warrant their work and you would be engaging them separately to us. Architectural models require the same information that we do, so you will be able to use the same brief for us, with our 3D architectural renderings, as you to for the architectural model maker.

Modelcraft

Modelcraft is a professional organization specializing in the construction of custom built architectural models. They have offices in the inner city areas of both Sydney and Melbourne, Australia.

In addition to architectural models they offer interactive features, specialist packaging, transportation, photography and photomontage. Materials and techniques used include timbers, plastics, cork, card, casting resins, laser cutting, hot wire foam cutting, computerized milling, casting and vacuum forming.

They combine traditional skill with state of the art technology to ensure quality. Unlike some of our competitors, all steps of the process are carried out in-house at Modelcraft so they are in total control of each project.
