We model each price of furniture in 3D from just pictures of the originals and apply scanned fabric from real-world samples. Decoratoration items and personal accessories are also created in 3D and placed carefully throughout the scenes. Pieces such as lounge chairs, sofas and other furniture with soft curves and complex fabric textures can be difficult to model perfectly. This is also true for the more ornate lighting fixtures, which not only have detailed shapes with reflective and semi-transparent materials but also have multiple ways of illuminating the room.

3D Architectural Images of Kitchens

Real Views in 3D Art

We do this as either a flat 2D image in the background or as a complete 360-degree panorama encompassing the scene. A simple 2D image put into the scene is the easiest to do, as the single shot can be taken in many different inexpensive ways. Unfortunately using this method means the view cant move with the camera if you wish to animate the scene. If a virtual reality camera changes viewpoint it will become apparent that the backdrop is merely a flat billboard effect.

The location and photography costs to get 360-degree panoramic images are higher than normal photography as the final result sees everything in the horizontal plane. The increased visual scope gives excellent results for animations as when the 3D camera turns within the scene the view changes with it.
