to all other architectural
3D rendering companies. This technique yields superior 3D
animated results – the same Photo-Perfect result
from the stills. We lead this way through extensive research
and investment in hardware.
True 3D landscaping in architectural scenes
Ever seen a 3D
landscaped area where the trees rotate around in front of
you? Looks weird, doesn't it? We have even seen some where the
trees spin around so much you would think they are on roller
skates! This is from the technique of placing photographs of
plants on flat faces that rotate about so they are always looking
at you. It's like having a cardboard cutout of a person with
someone behind it turning it so it's always looking at you. You
know that you could never be fooled by it, so why would you use
an architectural rendering company that tries to use this technique
on your buyers?
The reason they do this is because they don't
have the ability or resources to process the trees if they were
a true 3D object.
We do. In fact we create all foreground landscaping branch by branch,
leaf by leaf. And we don't skimp on them - we "go to town".
It requires skill and technology to make these trees, shrubs and
ground cover, but it's worth it.
Render farm
We saw the need for raw "CPU horsepower" many
years ago. It is a simple fact that top quality architectural virtual
reality 3D rendered artwork needs extensive computing power to
enable a timely delivery to the client. That is why we have a "render
farm", which is a cluster of computers linked to form a "super
computer".
Render farms are not new in the 3D CGI field,
but within 3D architectural rendering companies they are still
scarce or limited. This is because still images may take only half
a day to render, so based on the work an artist can prepare, still
images may only need 2 computers running to keep up with the workload.
Archiform 3D's visualization quality requires more power per artist
due to the 3D radiosity animation requirements.
Currently we run at 33 CPUs per 3D artist, a ratio
that we consider unmatched by any other company in this field.
We don't contract out to other companies for our render power and
all our hardware is kept in-house, dedicated purely to Archiform
3D architectural visualization and animation work.
Price and Build by the architectural scene
vs by the picture
Every other architectural rendering company that
we can find in this industry prices by the picture. On the face
of it you may be getting what you need, but think harder and look
further into your real estate marketing needs. Is just one architectural
rendering going to be enough, or would it be much better to have
a few pictures?
We have always looked at our work as architectural
scene building, and priced it as such. This means that in
our normal rates you get MANY 3D renderings and images, not just
one, the upgrade price to a fully animated architectural presentation
is not excessive and we never charge for additional high resolution
stills pulled from the animations. The workflow is different
and the benefits are far superior to pricing and creating by
the picture. Clients see this as a significant advantage in our
visualization services and we are now actively showing it's benefits.
3D rendered plan furniture and vector
scalable architectural plans
The hardest item to get for doing architectural colored
floor plans is furniture. In fact it's so hard some companies
avoid it. Considering our massive library of 3D furniture we
decided to extend it's abilities and created a version of our
virtual reality furniture library just for floor plans. Now you
can have the same quality 3D furniture on the sales plan as you
have in the virtual reality images. We also implemented vector
scalable artwork, so the artwork we give you can be enlarged
to almost any size you need.

We created photomontage, panoramic
photographs, and 3D animations so long ago now we forget
when we started. We were producing animations in the early 1990s
whereas some companies are now claiming animation as the latest
and greatest new technique.
